Phil will demonstrate how he successfully uses Leica’s M System to capture his stunning monochromatic winter landscapes and why even in the harshest conditions it is his camera of choice.For several years, Phil has traversed the winter landscapes of the Pacific Northwest to capture his stunning monochramtic images. Phil used the Leica M Typ 240 and the Leica Monochrom-M Typ 246 to create the images for his book “Solitude: Snow and Ice” in 2023, caputing a series of winter storms across the PNW in 2017 that dramatically transformed familiar landscapes.“My photography cocentrates on the beauty of the outdoors as seen through personal prisms of abstract shapes and balance geometry. To me this transmutes life’s confusion, bewilderment, and loniliness into harmonic visuals that transmit peace and a sense of presence.” Philip Blair, Preface, Solitude: Snow and IceThis event is open to all cameras and photographers of any skill level.
